Shipping Instructions
At US Metals, we offer easy and secure shipping instructions to ensure that your precious metals, jewelry, and other valuable materials reach us safely and efficiently. Our shipping process is designed to provide you with a hassle-free experience while maintaining the security of your items.
What is Included?
When you choose to ship your materials to us, you’ll benefit from the convenience of using our preferred carrier, FedEx. We can also provide USPS or UPS labels upon request. While we recommend using our shipping label, you’re not obligated to do so; just let us know you’re shipping a package and provide the tracking number, so we can anticipate its arrival at our facility.
- We can schedule an insured FedEx pickup at your business location, or you can drop the package off.
- Packages deposited in drop boxes or third-party locations will not be covered by insurance claims.
- FedEx Priority Overnight packages can be insured up to $150,000.00.
- 2nd Day FedEx packages can be insured up to $25,000.00.
- Ground FedEx shipments can be insured up to $10,000.00.
- Actual shipping costs will be deducted from your final settlement.
All shipments must be double boxed. Use two shipping labels—one on the outer box and one on the inner box—to ensure proper identification in case of damage to the outer box. Larger items that can’t fit inside an express box should be packaged following our advice for secure transit. Prevent movement within the box by securing items with bubble wrap or paper.
What Can I Expect?
- All pickups and drop-offs must be scanned in person for accurate tracking.
- No reference to precious metals, jewelry, or scrap metal should be on the outside of your shipping box. If your company’s name contains these words, abbreviate them.
- Do not use envelopes or packs.
- Names and addresses of sender and recipient must avoid references to refining, precious commodities, and jewelry. Use abbreviations or replace company names with individual names.
